Mike and Dee Leichner
Mike
and Dee Leichner are the founders and Senior Pastors of the Ark
Church. Pastor Mike Leichner was a full-time evangelist (Mike
Leichner Ministries) for nine years. From 1980 through 1988 he
traveled with his wife and children preaching 49-week revivals
per year. They pulled a travel trailer, which they made as their
home, in campgrounds and church parking lots all across the
nation. He also incorporated a music ministry and his brothers
joined him on many occasions to minister. Pastor Mike is a
guitarist and traveled for years as a young man with his family
a Southern Gospel group, The Singing Ledbetters. He has a
repertoire of musical recordings to his credit, and has authored
both music and books. His Freewill Baptist background, with a
powerful personal experience in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost,
ties in with his previous evangelistic ministry. This brings
forth a cutting edge voice that is both compassionate, anointed
and with a Word for today.
Pastor Mike and Dee were obedient to the Call when the Lord
directed them to build a family oriented, Holy Ghost and Fire
church in the Heartland. God's directive in a season of prayer
and fasting added to their ministry responsibilities. They were
able to incorporate years of evangelism, and interaction with
hundreds of other Pastors and Churches into their new calling.
When God sent them to build the church it was a path of faith
with viable results. They have a heart for God's people and the
released Presence of God in their lives, which truly brings
liberty.
Pastor is a native of Wichita Kansas. He is a Bible Graduate of
Berean College. He has ministered in state camp meetings,
minister's conferences, and served as a Regional Director for
Pastor Rod Parsley and the WHCMF. He served his country with a
three-year enlistment in the United States Marine Corp. He is a
strong patriot and is able to incorporate the military mindset
proclaimed by the Apostle Paul in building the army of God. He
is a versatile, empathetic, Holy Ghost and Fire Kingdom builder.
Sister Dee has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian
Ministry from Indiana Christian University. She is an incredible
Bible Teacher, author, a true prayer intercessor and a speaker
at Women's Conferences. She is also an Exhorter, occasionally
filling the pulpit at the Ark. She is the Director of the
Fire
in the Plains Bible Institute, an in-house credentialing
Institute, and is also the Church Administrator.
The Leichners are parents of two children, and grandparents of
four. Their son
Devin is Associate, Music Director and
Oneighty
Pastor at the Church. His wife Jenny is the
Oneighty secretary
and ministers with him. They have a daughter, Reilly. The
couple's daughter,
Desiree is Executive Secretary and
Children's
Director at the Church. Her husband, John is Facility
Manager and they work together in the Children's ministry. They
have a son Sage, and 2 daughters, Zoie and Zavi.
The Leichner family ministers together with a true Levitical
priesthood type family Call. The two generations working
together have created a unique marriage of generations flavored
with love and compassion for all people of all ages.
