Meet our Pastors

Adult Ministries

Alive in Christ-New Convert Care
Classes are taught in the basics of the faith. Those who are new in their walk with Christ and those who want to be assured of the basic foundations of their faith will greatly benefit from these classes.

Pastoral Care and Counseling
We have a Pastoral staff with an open door policy. They are available for care and Biblical counseling. This includes areas from personal needs to pre-marital. Contact Elder DeWayne McGuire.

Usher and Greeter Ministry
An important involvement in what Ephesians 4:12 calls 'the work of the ministry'. Greeters welcome worshippers to the house of God, and are available with information. Ushers working in the I Corinthians 12:28 area of 'helps' is an extremely important area, that includes assistance in seating, collecting tithe and offerings, and ministering in the altars. Altar workers are included in this area. Training is provided.

Prison Ministry
Jesus said in Matthew 25:26, 'I was in prison and ye came unto me'. Our Prison Pastor, Brother Steve Schmidt leads a team of workers who hold church services and Bible studies in our area prisons. Prison ministry includes jail visitation.

Grounds Care and Construction Ministry
An important ministry for those with skills in grounds care, landscaping, pond maintenance and construction. You have the distinct opportunity to care for the Lord's house and properties, and to help with ongoing construction as we grow and advance.

Men's Fellowship and Work Days
This ministry allows men to fellowship together, develop friendships and provide services at the Church together. Usually held on Saturdays, men pool their skills and gifting to bring excellence to the Church and Campus.

Home Visitation
This is a ministry available to those who enjoy visiting and making calls or personal contacts.

Camps and Retreats
Throughout the year, camps and retreats will be scheduled for various age groups and interests. Ministry trips, fellowships, women's meetings, special meetings and gatherings are made available.

Willing Hands
This is a ministry of helps in the women's ministry, which covers several areas. Specialized cleaning, decorating and organizing, baptismal towel and linen care, all fall under the category of willing hands.

Young Married
This is a ministry for those who are married and in their early years as a couple, 18-29 age group. They join together for classes, recreation and fellowship.

Worship Team
The Worship Team is an auditioned group of voluntary Praise Singers, Choir and Band, who have gifts and talents musically. Vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to join in this powerful psalmist ministry. Bands include brass, percussion, keyboard and piano, guitar, etc. Scheduled practices are required. See Pastor Devin.

Shut-In and Hospital Ministry
This is an important area of visitation that shows compassion by visiting the shut-ins and those hospitalized. This ministry affords a wonderful opportunity to proclaim Christ's love through action by ministering to those who are challenged with illness or limited mobility.

Home & Foreign Missionary Outreach & Care
The Ark Church supports many areas of foreign and home missions and missionaries. We also provide for an entire orphanage of children in the Ukraine, and have planted a sister church in the Ukraine. This ministry provides an opportunity to reach out and care for those who are proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in foreign lands and those who are pioneering new works in the States.

H.O.P.E. - Hands of Praise Evangelism
This is the Ministry of sign language to the deaf. Signers are available for every church service. Classes are held periodically for those wishing to be involved in this important and viable ministry.

Senior Adult
A class and ministry available for study and fellowship. This is for those who are in their golden years of life.

Partners
Ministry, fellowship and class studies for the mid-life married couples.

Crave
This is a group of young people who are in the shifting time from youth to responsibility and authority. College and Career ages 19-29 meet for classes, fun and fellowship.

Singles
Singles who are age 30 and older meet together for classes, fun and fellowship with those of like-Spirit. They address needs specific to their station of life.

Prayer Chain & Prayer Meetings
The prayer chain is an emergency prayer ministry. When a life & death emergency or extremely serious situation arises, those who are a part of the prayer chain are contacted by phone and given specifics so that they can go immediately into prayer for the need. All requests must come through the church office or Pastoral staff. Corporate prayer meetings are held monthly on the last Saturday night of the month in the Ark Church Prayer Chapel.

Ministry Needs
This is a wonderful provisional ministry area of the Women's Ministry. Meals are prepared by ministry needs women and delivered to new moms, and to those who are recuperating from surgery or hospitalization. Other areas available for those who enjoy cooking and baking include preparing meals for Oneighty Youth Ministry bus drivers on Wednesday evenings and food donations to Café Oneighty.

Car Care Ministry
Once yearly before winter, mechanics in the church volunteer their time and expertise to give a free check and inspection of the cars of single women who attend church at the Ark. They will do the inspection, make recommendations, and make sure they have anti-freeze for the winter.

Media Ministry
Those involved in the media ministry includes camera operators, computer, screen and sound. These are volunteer positions open to the trained and those with a call and interest wishing to be trained.

Food Pantry
The donation of and distribution of non-perishable food items to the needy. There are also other areas of food help during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Resource Aides
Resource aides are valuable workers who help in the organization and distribution of resources and teaching materials that are needed in various classrooms.

F.P.B.I. (Fire in the Plains Bible Institute)
This ministry is an in-house, layman friendly study opportunity. Using synopsis and study guides, the individual can study for either personal knowledge or for credentialing. Material is designed to fit into busy schedules and to be done at your own pace. This is at a very minimal cost of the book plus a $10. transcript/test fee per course. Credentials are available as Certified Teacher, Specialized Ministry, Exhorter, License to Preach and Ordination. There is also a summer teen internship program.
