One of the deepest desires each of us has it to have fellowship
with others. Such fellowship can be found through membership in
the local Church. Church membership means mutual benefits and
responsibilities for both the Church and the member.
Prerequisite For Covenant Membership:
Confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and
clear evidence of having experienced the new birth. (John 3:1-7)
Agreement:
"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:3) It is
important that any desiring association with the Ark Church
through membership be in agreement with the doctrines and
practices of this local Church in particular.
Procedure For Covenant Membership:
Those desiring membership in this assembly who have faithfully
attended for a minimum of three consecutive months, should
contact the Church office to inquire of the next membership
class. Attendance at the Covenant Membership Classes is
required. All applicants will subsequently be asked to come
forward during a regular church service for public recognition
of union expressed in the right hand of fellowship by the
congregation.
Identification Through Membership:
This includes both privilege and responsibility. You may expect
the Church to minister to your Spiritual needs, especially
through the preaching of the Word. You may further expect the
Church to strengthen and edify you through Godly counsel and
instruction, through the prayers and concern of the Pastoral
Staff as well as fellow Believers. We will serve you, but will
also provide you with opportunities for Christian service and
fellowship. We will ask of your time, talent, resources, and
energy. We do so because we believe we are about the greatest
commission ever issued...maturing and serving in the Kingdom of
God through our Lord Jesus Christ!
